The Logs Coat Hanger Is Sustainable Playful Design

Designed by Romin Heide and Hanna Litwin of design studio Büro Famos for Czech company TON, the Logs coat hanger has a simple and playful design allowing multiple rods to be grouped together mimicking the look of a pile of logs in a fire. Made from beech and oak wood offcuts, and shipping in boxes constructed from recycled cardboard in a workshop employing people with disabilities, the hanger supports the designers’ always present approach to sustainability and ecological thinking. By partnering with Heide and Litwin, TON is carrying on their function of working with ideas from other Czech or foreign designers who create beautiful manual work as well as link to technology.
