The Next Level 2019 Exhibition Shines at NYCxDesign

Next Level is a fledgling design gallery that challenges the format of traditional profit-led trade shows and gallery curations by blurring the line between art and design. The 9,000 square foot space operates within its own ecosystem, where over 40 independent designers and artists display their works while acknowledging their connection to one another and the world as a whole.

During NYCxDesign, Next Level featured a minimalist backdrop that honored each participating designer’s unique aesthetic while allowing room for the unfolding of a story between each piece.

In collaboration with Pearl River Mart, the lower level of the space was transformed into an installation of more than 70 paper lanterns that had been painted by New York City artists. A portion of proceeds went towards Robinhood.org fighting poverty in NYC and Artists.
