The Odin: A Modern Puzzle Toy for Dogs

It’s not every day I get this excited about a new dog product. When Michelle Moy and Billy Shih from Up Dog Toys contacted me a few weeks ago about the upcoming launch of their first toy, all I could think when I saw the photos was “OMG THIS IS AWESOME AND EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE THESE TOYS!!”. Needless to say, I am beyond thrilled to be able to share their first-ever product with you: The Odin!

The Odin is a modular puzzle toy for dogs, that can be combined indefinitely to create more complex and challenging entertainment for your pup. Not only can you stuff it with treats for hours of fun, but it just plain looks cool. I mean, I wouldn’t even hesitate to leave a (clean) Odin toy out on a coffee table or bookshelf as a decorative object! (Speaking of clean, The Odin is dishwasher safe, non-toxic, and phthalate free. Hooray!)

The Odin also features four differently sized holes to allow treats of varying sizes to fall out; smaller treats come out easier, while larger treats increase the challenge for skilled dogs. The geometric shape prevents the toy from rolling around excessively while also causing the toy to bounce unpredictably when thrown or dropped, which means even more fun for your dog!

If you’re as stoked about this toy as I am, you’ll definitely want to check out the Kickstarter campaign which just launched this week. Kickstarter backers can get their hands on The Odin for a special early bird price, not to mention be the first dogs on the block to show off what I consider the coolest modern dog toy ever.
