Roche Bobois’ latest collections look to the one of the latest trends: the squircle. Part square, part circle, the shape’s rounded corners soften geometric pieces to a lovely degree. The RIO IPANEMA collection and the SHARK collection apply the look to furniture, creating a bookcase, desk, and tables that are easy to live and grow with.
Bruno Moinard is reponsible for the raw materials, large shapes, and dark colors of RIO IPANEMA. Made from solid, dark wood, each piece feels organic and statement-making. You may have also noticed a touch of Brutalist aesthetic, which was developed by certain Brazilian designers. The collection includes a bookcase, cocktail table, console, and desk.
Studio Juam’s SHARK collection features legs that break through tabletops, not unlike a shark breaking through the surface of water. With a peaceful appeal, the collection is certified as FSC™ mix. Composed of materials from responsibly managed forests and other controlled sources, this model contributes to the preservation of forests and biodiversity. SHARK’s collection of tables are made with stained solid ash bases, with several colors available, and top in smoked glass.
