The Subtle Happiness Table Lamp Doubles as a Vase

With our living quarters getting smaller, it makes sense to look towards multipurpose designs as a way to save valuable space. We all rely on a plethora of daily necessities so designers are investigating ways to combine function with aesthetics to improve our everyday experiences. Shanghai-based Pushe Design Studio is onboard with their latest design, the Subtle Happiness Table Lamp, which works not only as a lamp but as a vase and small storage surface.

Made from aluminum and ash wood or jade, the fixture’s removable lighting element safely mounts onto the conical vase base resulting in a flat surface that can hold smaller things. The versatile design can be used for a variety of purposes, as just a lamp, a mini table, a vase, as well as in combination for a unique, multifunctional object.

The lighting element is made of aluminum with a brass oxidation effect.
