New Haven, Connecticut-based artist Tracie Cheng, who we discovered on Saatchi Art, comes from an architecture background, which definitely shows through in her work. However, the precision of that training hasn’t stopped her from taking it outside the lines. While abroad during the end of her schooling, Cheng found a love of watercolors which brought a whole new perspective to her work. While the meticulous precision remains, a soft fluidity layers in to result in really beautiful abstract paintings.
