Tua by Foscarini

Tua, designed by Marco Zito, is the newest addition to Foscarini’s 2010 collection.

The design of Tua is inspired by the palm of the hand containing a light: a reassuring pose transformed into a single, shaped metal plane that becomes both the support and screen for the lamp. I like the gentle bend and elegant rounded details. Hidden in the fold lies a soft light source, which is reflected off of the underside surface of the bent material. Tua would be a nice addition to a nightstand or work surface.
