This unique collection of vases by Marie Liebhardt is highlighted by a unique trait — their irregularities. Appropriately named Flaws Collection, each vase is inspired by the deterioration process of the skin of a city over time.
Made of aging copper and brass, the metal parts are combined with colored porcelain, highlighting the textured finish of the metal. To create a varied look in the porcelain, thin layers of porcelain are poured into a plastic mold, where some stay in the mold when drying and some are left out. It results in a veneer similar to old walls.
