Luxury phone manufacturer Vertu has once again designed a phone that is truly out of this world. The Verti Ti is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.
This bad boy combines the powerful Android OS with fine engineering and a forward-thinking design. On top of that, each device is handmade by a single craftsman in Hampshire, England. I’d definitely love to get my hands on one of these.
Instead of using common metals or plastics, Vertu chose to go with a polished titanium case (hence the name Ti) that’s extremely durable and strong without the added weight. It also sports the world’s largest crystal sapphire screen ever engineered, and pure black leather accents. Talk about a sexy phone!
Vertu designed the Ti phone in a way that references the company’s luxury roots with an architectural style that shows the bones of the phone. For example, the exposed watch screws and layout of the titanium accents reference Vertu’s one-of-a-kind and futuristic aesthetic.
All in all, who wouldn’t want to put one of these in their pocket? I’m a believer.
If you’ve got the extra change to spend, the phone starts at €7,900.

I cannot forgive how ugly the back of that is.
Other than that, pretty sweet. I’ve been waiting for someone to make a high-end phone

It’s the Cadillac of cell phones!

It´s true, the ugliest back in mobilephone History… what is that H-shaped thing between the flash and the camera?
The Vertu stuff always reminds me of Gotham City…

It already looks outdated. And those screw slots not facing the same direction would drive me insane. Do. Not. Want.

why all the fawning over Vertu? they make ugly, crass, low-spec phones for awful, taste-less people. that phone is just ridiculously over-complex in its design, with lots of utterly unnecessary add-ons purely for show. and those hardware buttons, years after most phones have moved onto capacitive or on-screen buttons! unbelievable.

As an architect, I really don’t want to be related to this. Tuis is NOT arciturale style, it’s just butt ugly ornaments put on a ridiculusly overpriced phone, with probably a horrible UI strapped on the fine working software of Android. I hate it.

The usual slick well engineered and reasonably built offering from Vertu. Nice materials, not as nicely implemented as they could be. Alligator skin option completely the wrong scale for the product not at all aesthetically innovative. Mim, metal parts not as crisp and ‘engineered’ as machined parts. Hand assembled from a kit in hampshire but ‘not’ hand made, but enhanced marketing can be forgiven.Sound always very nice with Vertu, but camera woefully under specified. Materials always well sourced and quality controlled but a very safe product in this fickle and unstable market. Architectural is completely the wrong term for this product. I would describe it as Safe, Un-Innovative, and Predictable. Probably appropriate in this niche market but definitely not aspirational.

I kinda like it, but then as a kid in the early 90’s I like the Transformers as well – still do. This reminds me of the Autobots.

true . that such a very expensive phone gives no room for improvement when it coms to innovation . sad

it is somewhat kitchy and much too expensive for the life expectancy of such device.
