Greek furniture designer Andreas Voukenas joined forces with American architect Steven Petrides to form Voukenas Petrides, a New York and Athens based design studio behind a series of furniture for the home and office. The architectural-inspired collection consists of seating, side tables, and installations hand fabricated out of solid birch plywood.
The pieces have a sculptural feel all while remaining functional. The lines of each design are intentional and sometimes unexpected, upping its visual aesthetic.

Is it me or the first chair in this page looks extremely fragile? I mean, mechanically, suppose someone actually uses the arm rests to push himself up, or, you know, sits in it.

We’re happy to see your comment Roberto.
Thanks for the feedback.
The looks might be fragile but the reality is that it’s extremely durable. Not only you can hold on it to get up but you could just lift yourself off the ground by pushing the arms down ?
We hope one day you have the chance to use it.
