Thomas Schneider is a recent cabinetmaking graduate who designed this whisky cabinet named Harper. Made out of ash and folded paper, the cabinet stands tall almost like a butler handing you a drink.
He says “Since cabinetmaking is usually seen as an antiquated discipline in furniture making and design, I wanted to show that it is possible to create a contemporary piece of work using very traditional techniques.”
There’s something about this cabinet that I absolutely love – I’m not sure if it’s the mix of materials and texture or the form.
