When you think of the characteristics of glass, both strong and fragile probably come to mind. The same can be said for those battling cancer, which is why it was chosen as the material for Luminaire’s 4th fundraising auction benefitting cancer research. Nasir and Nargis Kassamali, the founders of Luminaire, are hosting GlasLove, which has partnered with auction house Phillips to sponsor an online and live auction to benefit the Braman Family Breast Cancer Institute at Sylvester.
The auction is being made possible by some of the world’s top designers and manufacturers, including nendo, Marcel Wanders, Glas Italia, Naoto Fukasawa, Nao Tamura, Lasvit, Arcade, and Venini, who’ve donated one-off, limited edition, or prototype works that are made of glass.
The auction runs through October 11th, 2016 and you can see all of the items available here.
