Adam Rogers is a furniture maker/design from who builds beautiful handcrafted wooden pieces primarily from walnut. He says “my focus is on the marriage of modern design and hand craftsmanship, creating contemporary iterations of classic modern archetypes.” You can contact him via his website standardmade.com.

This walnut and copper dresser is a beautiful mix of wood and metal in a more unexpected union.

Adam’s chairs are all slightly different, but feel unified enough to be a family.

This beautiful marble top is supported by simple walnut brackets and legs.

Reminiscent of a 1950s stereo cabinet, this walnut sideboard could be used as a buffet, console or TV stand.

What a beautiful blend – the richness of the walnut & the contemporary design! Beautiful work! Thanks for the post!

Great work. All of the work has such a carefully calculated balance, that gives even the sideboard a lightweight feel.

These are all great. The pieces are firmly rooted in midcentury design but each has it’s own character. Love the walnut and copper together, and love the miters on the sideboard.

Right up my alley. As a furniture-maker I find work like this to be equally intimidating and inspiring.
