I opened a recent Azure magazine email and this baby was staring me right in the face. How did I miss this beauty during the London Design Festival?
Called the Bahia Chair, and created by 20age, is a vintage chair that was reupholstered in yellow velvet cord and yellow and green checked cotton. The buttons are turquoise. On the back, 20age placed 5000 Brazilian ribbons. According to 20age, these ribbons are a lucky charm in Brazil. Typically one ties it to one’s wrist using three knots. A wish is made for each knot and when the band falls off your wishes come true. Perhaps when the ribbons all fall off of this chair you’ve hit the motherland of all wishes!
