Fusing modern design with a classic fashion icon, the limited edition “Coco” Mini Bar has been hand-finished by drizzling Chanel nail varnish over the white lacquered exterior.
The compact and modern drinks cabinet is perfect for home dining and launched with the MoMA store in New York last Autumn. Now designer Leonhard Pfeifer has applied Chanel No. 159 Fire Red, the classic movie star shade, and No. 18 Rouge Noir worn by Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction, to create a piece inspired by the Femme Fatale and dripping with passion.

now – how do I find one of these to purchase since MOMA doesn’t sell them anymore?

Nail polish? Really? I could just do that myself.

Hi Caitlin
It’s not a comlicated process, just expensive – 10 bottles of Chanel, plus thinners to get the right consistancy, then dribbling 100 stripes over the period of a couple of days, to allow for drying. It’s a bit of a process really. But creates a beautiful finish that is wonderfully tactile.
If you decorate a piece yourself, I’d really love to see photos of the outcome – it’s cool to be the inspiration behind other projects. http://www.leonhardpfeifer.com
