Mr. Design Milk just looooooooves Chesterfields — he thinks they’re distinguished. I can see a Chesterfield sofa working very well surrounded by modern furnishings. I like this one in particular, but perhaps in another color — this color seems to masculine for me. Luckily, Distinctive Chesterfields has a bazillion leather options. The downside for me? They’re not located in the States.

Awesome! I love Chesterfields. We might be refurbishing a 500 year old cottage and this would look brilliant in it!

Hi there – I recently got a hand-me-down family chesterfield and covered it with a Deckchair Fabric – it really transforms it from a traditional to contemporary. A picture of it can be found at http://www.deckchairstripes.com/_nonproduct/_gallery/1.html.

I have that exact sofa. The leather is even better in person and their service is incredible. They make theirs to order. FYI, they do deliver stateside. We’ve had ours for a few years and it gets better with age.
