Swedish design duo Linda and Jona Netsman unveiled a colorful collection of furniture in 2010 called Design By Leftovers inspired by the lives lived by the materials used. Their passion for vintage is evident in the pieces, which are an eclectic mix of used furniture, scrap materials, airbrushing and vibrant color. Their motto is “pre-loved can be re-loved.”

Their 2011 collection is filled with inspiring color and material choices and full of juxtapositions — the inspiration for these pieces lies in the “contrasts, contradictions of India, life, death and beautiful cars.”

Linda explains, “At the convergence of India’s colorful buses and the white clad cricket players, we find ourselves thriving in a paradox of great proportions.”

“We also ponder life and death and what separates them. The color gray is unpretentiously alluring against the glitter, skulls and aged wood present in the collection,” explains Jona.
