Nestled in Santa Monica, California is this house extension designed by XTEN Architecture. The walls have patterned, nature-inspired perforations reminiscent of fancy hole punchers for arts and crafts. The challenging location of this structure provided the architects with constraints to work with, so some geometric planning was employed to fit in with the conditions of the sloping hillside.
