I think it’s because ostriches tend to act divaish. It’s the whole thin neck, tows/claws curl when they walk sort of thing, I think. Granted they have pea-sized brains, but look at the ostrich picture below the table. Definitely snooty, perhaps divaish?

Probably because ostrich feathers are a very diva-y thing to have in a lady’s dressing room…and it’s making a play on that. That’s my guess
