Frank Cresencia is a senior at the Rhode Island School of Design, and has just completed a cantilever chair that focuses on using minimal material and innovative joinery to achieve a light profile. He dadoed the wooden seat shell into the steel frame. The two elements are then connected through inset magnets. This process of “clicking” the shell into the frame may be one of the first like this.
