Esa Set of Tables by Gonçalo Campos

Gonçalo Campos’ latest collection of tables was featured in the exhibition Mais que Partes (More Than Parts), shown in the Fabrica features shop in Lisbon.

The collection is made only using two basic materials, fabric and wood, which are probably the most commonly used materials in most households. Designed to be assembled with no glues or external fixtures, other than the fabric, using a simple construction technique, they look primitive but elegant.

Take a look at the construction drawings below — the construction looks much more complicated than it really is.

  1. These are fantastic. With the fabric you could really make them match up with some of the colours and fabric in your home. It would be perfect to do this with some leftover curtain fabric should you have some because then there’d be a proper theme going.
