Designer/maker Douglas Fielding-Smith recently launched his new, Redditch, England based company, Fielding-Smith Furniture, where he focuses on handmade furniture with a contemporary design aesthetic. With the launch, he released seven pieces of furniture that combine his affinity for avant-garde European design and his use of modern materials. The pieces, which are made from solid wood and colorful laminate, include a stool, bedside table, storage unit, coffee table, dining table, shoe rack, and a media console.
