Instead of using paper, artist Lorenzo Durán uses leaves to make papercut art. If you think about how delicate a leaf is, you can imagine how challenging and intricately painstaking each piece of art must be to create. He must have a very steady hand!

A steady hand, or a laser cutter.

These are stunning! I love the Andy Goldsworthy style of art that requires the ability to appreciate a deteriorating form simply for what it is in a moment. The leaves will crumble because that’s what organic matter does, but the beauty never fades. Thank you for sharing!

This boggles my mind, how he was able to accomplish something so intricate. I’ve photographed leaves countless times in macro, but Lorenzo is the first artist I’ve come across who creates a piece of art this way. Amazing!

Not to take away from Lorenzo Duran, because the work is excellent, but he is not the first to do this sort of precise cutting with leaves:

Amazing art!
So dainty and fragile. Light shinning through them would look lovely, creating different effects!
