From storage pieces to tables, Keir Townsend has created a series of art-meets-furniture for Italian manufacturer Laurameroni. Reminiscent of art sculptures of Donald Judd, these metallic furnishings play with light and trick the eye.

The process of making the pieces involves applying a patinated surface to metal strips and then folding them onto the furniture. I love these pieces and think that they’d work in just about any kind of style from traditional to ultra-modern.

I love these, in particular the sideboard’s soft burgundy copper finish. Whenever I see furniture with a mirror shine, I just think FINGERPRINTS, but I wonder if these more diffused versions would handle them better.

Oh yeah – yikes! Haha, with a 9-month-old running around, I feel like I’m always chasing her with a roll of paper towels and a bottle of cleaner!
