Minimalist Bathroom Fixtures by Norm Architects for Ex.t

Copenhagen-based Norm Architects designed a collection of minimalist bathroom fixtures and home furnishings for Ex.t that were inspired by Scandinavian design. The new designs include Stand, a bathtub and basin, and Felt, a series of modular wall shelves.

Stand was inspired by the 1920s and 1930s cast iron details often seen in the Victorian era, as well as Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. The tub references those classic tubs with claw foot feet and the sink has similarities to plant pots used in winter gardens.

The pieces feel light as they sit within their simple, black metal structures, hovering above the ground.

Felt happens to mean “field”, “area”, or “frame” in Danish, and the new modular wall shelves feature open areas that are created by the gridded structure. The customizable design can fit shelves, mirrors, and storage modules with or without doors. The minimalist units are perfect for the bathroom and work in unison with Stand.
