Modern Barn in Connecticut by Specht Harpman
In Connecticut you expect to see barns, but not a barn like this. The barn was originally partially destroyed in a fire. The architects from Specht Harpman rebuilt the barn keeping its architectural integrity outside, but revamping the interior to a modern, free space that includes polished concrete floors and exposed maple woodwork.

Incredible interior. Amazing how they were able to get the height inside. Usually the beams of the hayloft restrict the possibility of big open areas in renovated barns. Lots of structural ingenuity here. I accidentally rated it low, but should have given five stars..
