Modern Stainless Steel Mailbox

This modern mailbox looks like an envelope! This piece is handmade, handcrafted, and handfinished in Canada. “No off-shore mass production, only real and honest hours of hard work and elbow grease in a local workshop, each mailbox finished one by one.”

Mailmen will hate you. Trust me. These types are the worst to burst-fire mail into.
Too bad for the desperate copyrighting.
Especially “No off-shore mass production,
only real and honest hours of hard work
and elbow grease in a local workshop”.
So he’s saying real AND honest hard work
is not done off-shore??? I have the feeling
that many of these “off-shore” workers
work harder, longer hours for less pay than
this guy will give them credit for. And they
could certainly produce more than 10 mailboxes
in a month and a half! I don’t mind that this guy is
trying come off as a humble Norman Rockwell character
quietly tinkering away in his workshop with sweat and
elbow grease making high-end designer mailboxes for
$150 a pop, but slamming off-shore production just
makes him look scared and petty.
Ted, I actually interpreted the copy as “not machine-made” because it was prefaced by “mass-production”.
By the way, how do you know “he” is not a “she”. I’ve been a welder and metalsmith for 20 years, and to this day men come into my workshop, look at me, and then ask to speak to the boss. When I tell them it’s actually my shop, they suddenly become skeptical about the quality of my work.
Try to be a little less cynical and a little more open-minded.
I think this is no original design , There is a company in USA churning them out in hi numbers.Too much of self appreciation is wierd.
This is a cheap look a like, the original is made in the Netherlands. brievenbussen.nl
where can you get this mailbox besides the dutch website….a
u r both angry at something, the guy or gal making the mailbox in canada as well as the gal who is being looked down by customers. The skeptics are more at ease it seems. I m welder fabricator too facing tough initial years of business shop. I try to work 12 hrs aday making custom products. Chinese welders I know r cheap even in canada stealing away orders at half the market price but they eventually either increase the price after argument with customer for quality work or loose the business for poor craftsmanship. In either case it is challenging for all of us who r surviving or thriving in canada. Immigrants have lower demands, higher stamina and ambition through the roof. u cant beat all that.
