New Head of David Stool by Onur Mustak Cobanli

Onur Mustak Cobanli of OMC Design is a young designer and recently graduated from the Politecnico in Milan, Italy with a Master of Arts in Furniture Design. He has just finished designing this stool called “Nuova Testa del David” or New Head of David. It was inspired by Michelangelo’s David sculpture (and by countless, headless statues) and was interpreted as a modern piece of furniture that functions both as a stool and as a sculpture. It is made of ceramic and is available in white, black, gold, silver and other solid colors. Onur Mustak Cobanli aimed to design an object that could initiate a talk, an object that can create an emotional bond with its users and surprise any spectators.
