What do you think of this idea? Useful?

This is stupid. It doesn’t do any composting. All it does is hold your waste in the freezer to be dumped into a composting bin outside the house later. And they want $45 for it? What a ripoff. I’m doing the same thing with a used plastic bin with lid on my kitchen counter, which I empty every night, and it cost me nothing.

Can’t tell what is different about this $45 container and any other standard $3 rubbermaid container, but maybe I just don’t understand from the pics.
I do like the idea of having a container in the freezer to hold compost items until you dump it into the compost bin outdoors. It contains smell, and is more convenient than going outside every night, especially if you live on a high floor and are lazy like me.

I think the idea is that it has to be flexible (hence the silicone) in order to be able to empty it. It’s frozen, right? So Rubbermaid wouldn’t do the trick. Silicone is flexible when frozen where plastic or rubber isn’t.

so…. it’s silicone…. that’s the advantage over hard plastic…… how about a 1 gallon Zip-Lock bag?? will it work the same way?? not giving a harsh oppinion…just asking….. it’s really expensive for something that might be done in a WAY cheaper way…. grettings from Mexico…such a great site!!!
