Method is a brand that not only cares about creating useful and functional products while also helping the planet, they also have a focus on design. From their partnerships with Karim Rashid and Orla Kiely, to their artistic packaging designs, they have a history of making beautiful things.
When I partnered with Method to spread the love about their new Air Refreshers, I thought it made scents (Ha! See what I did there?) to visually express the experience of each of the air freshener scent: Beach Sage, French Lavender, Fresh Clover, Sweet Tangerine and Wild Poppy. For example, what does “Beach Sage” look like? How does it make you feel? These are the questions I posed to five of my favorite artists and designers: Matt W. Moore, Satsuki Shibuya, Sara Jensen, Julia Manchik and Lisa Congdon. Since the Designer Desktop series is one of my favorite features here on Design Milk, I thought it would be fun to illustrate these scents and create desktop and iPhone/iPad wallpapers so we can carry them around with us and look at them whenever we need a mental refresh.
Click on the links below to download various sizes of each design for your own tech. Which is your favorite? Pick one or download them all! I know I’m going to have a hard time choosing…
