Twiner, designed by Giha Woo Design based in South Korea, is a combination of a pencil cup and a USB hub. The conception was to combine two items that are commonly seen on most people’s desks. As a result, Twiner amalgamates objects that exist in the same space but serve different purposes.

Although the aesthetic appears simple, there are a few details that really bring out the character in this piece. The contrasting glossy and matte materials accentuate its sleek, curvy structure and give it a soft appeal. The slightly protruding USB hub does not look out of place, and accents a playful demeanor to the design.

As I am writing this, I am looking over at the items on desk, and lo and behold, the two objects I have sitting in front of me are a cup and my USB hub. Giha Woo is notorious for creating high-functional products, and this is no different. I hope he comes out with an entire collection that combines various objects together.
