The Practice of Everyday Design will launch their Stalac Coffee Table at the Interior Design Show 10 (IDS 10) – Prototype Exhibit. The Stalac coffee table is based on the idea of taking a rectangular section from a cave ceiling and using the stalactites as the table legs.

This design it brings back memories of being underground visiting caves. The way that it moves from the organic shaped underside and legs to the straight lines of the top make me feel like it has just been cut from a cave and placed in the image. Also the way the the image works with the ‘clean’ white of the table and the ‘dirty’ grey of the concrete wall behind. Just lush.
