How many times have you gone to find a flashlight when the power goes out and you can’t seem to find it? I did the other day, and I still can’t find it. Oregon-based designer Greg Hinzmann took it upon himself to not only design a flashlight that automatically turns on as an emergency light when the power goes out, but also to create “the world’s most beautiful flashlight.” Enter the Trioh! – Flashlight, accent light, and emergency light.

The Trioh! is a sleek and attractive device that is designed to be on display making it easier to find when you need it. It sits on a charging base so it’s always ready to go and you get 12 hours of use out of a fully charged battery.

Greg is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to finish the project. Donate some cash and you could be one of the first to own one.

Hi all,
Please put me down for one of your Trioh! Flashlights (is the exclamation mark Really necessary?), by Greg Hinzman – on One condition… It has to have a multi-voltage charging base.
In other words, it has to work happily in all the other countries in the world that have 220-240 volts ac, at 50 Hz, rather than that peculiar electrical system in the US of A, with only 110 volts and 60 Hz…
Presumably I may contribute via PayPal, if the above multi-voltage condition is met?
Many thanks,
Nick Herbert – an English exile in Hong Kong.

Hi Greg,
It’s a really cool idea, I hope all goes well with it, (and you.) I noticed that in all of the media that it is a nice, silky silver, (or aluminum), color omly. Is this the only choice? My wife commented that she could ‘see’ it in a golden tone, or mixed colors to really coordinate with many homes, where silver would stand out as clashing with the rooms decor.
I can see her point, but perhaps this is something you already thought about for the future, after the Trioh ‘takes off’.
I live in Milwaukie, and would like to contribute, but I’m retired and live on a fixed income. Extras are hard to budget into our monthly bills. (Thank God our house has been paid off for the last 10 years.)
Again, Best wishes and good luck on the Trioh,
Alan Rogers
