Vanillawood’s New Showroom
The Portland-based husband and wife team of James and Kricken Yaker who are Vanillawood, just opened a 900-square-foot showroom/store in Portland’s Pearl District. Vanillawood’s full-service design/build business has recently expanded to also offer an inventory of fabrics, wallpaper, lighting, mirrors, rugs, tabletop and gift items plus custom upholstery, furniture and built-in cabinetry.
Environmental concerns in the space include the desks and model kitchen with custom built-ins are constructed from reclaimed wood with recycled content countertops, as well as all-natural stain on the hardwood floors and no VOC paints.
I’m loving that pair of chairs! It seems like a pretty sweet space to work in — stop by if you’re in the area!
The Vanillawood team truly does have a great eye for design. We provided local reclaimed Douglas-fir paneling, planks and timbers for their showroom and the end result turned out amazing! Well done.
