The Wabi-Sabi Mirror&Table by Eny Lee Parker

Eny Lee Parker is a furniture graduate student at Savannah College of Art and Design and her latest work, The Wabi-Sabi Mirror&Table, combines two complementary objects into one design. On their own, the objects are imperfect and can’t function – the mirror wouldn’t stand up without the table and the spherical table would be unstable without the mirror.

Together, they can be united in their imperfections, which is how the design got its name – the Japanese theory of wabi sabi is finding beauty in imperfection. The piece’s flaws are what makes them stronger once together.
