You Better Wake Up! Money-Shredding Alarm Clock
This was a must-share. Although more of a joke than anything else, this alarm clock design shreds your cash if you don’t get out of bed. Talk about motivation. Destroying money on purpose is a crime in the US, so you better get that a$$ out of bed before you go broke and, on top of that, get fined by the government!
As I just noted over at Mashable, I reckon it’s only a matter of time (er, not a pun) before someone ups the ante and makes one of these you put your hand in.
Because *that* would get you out of bed.

Destroying money WITH INTENT TO DEFRAUD is against the law. Sorry to be the party pooper. I too cowered in fear as a child over every penny I smashed with a hammer. The gov’t wastes a LOT of effort, but this ain’t one of those times.
