3D Printed Rings Inspired by a Brazilian Instrument

Michiel Cornelissen and his magical 3D printing ways always have me completely intrigued. His latest, the KXX ring, is a 3D printed ring that was inspired by the caxixi instrument. Cornelissen became intrigued with the musical instrument that rattles thanks to beads bouncing around after he was introduced to capoeira and Brazilian culture. Since then, he figured out a way to 3D print a miniature of the instrument’s shape complete with the beads printed right inside them.

You can wear it as a cool, sculptural ring or use it at an actual instrument – it’s up to you!
