In Miami, the Wynwood neighborhood has garnered worldwide attention for its street art adorned on the walls of the garment district’s long, low-slung warehouses. This fame is thanks in part to Instagram, where visitors have been posting photos of the Wynwood Walls to share and celebrate Wynwood’s vibrancy. Now, those looking for offices in the middle of this creative hot spot can get a space at 545wyn designed by industry leader Gensler.
Gensler made sure to incorporate the artful surroundings into the 10-story creative office and retail building’s design. Graffiti-inspired graphics lay under the parking floor slabs capturing the energy of the graffiti art found around the building.
Inside, cutouts on the reception desk are from sewing machine petal patterns and a feature wall is made from repurposed shirts by Eileen Fisher, both elements paying homage to the site’s factory history.
A pedestrian Paseo allows visitors to walk around the walkable space connecting to lush gardens, adjacent art galleries, and dining and retail establishments.
