Love the classics but looking for something a little different? Well, if you like color, you’re in luck because DWR just added Le Corbusier in new colors to their Cassina lineup. Coloring the classics isn’t anything new. Last year, Herman Miller launched five new colors for their Eames molded plastic chairs and Hans Wegner’s Wishbone chair was re-released in a variety of tropical colors to celebrate its 60th anniversary.
What do you think? Yay for more options or nay for messing with a classic?

I say “Yay”! I love these colors and I love this classic chair…put it together…killer!

Not sure why everyone is talking about the enamel colors as new…have been selling Cassina since 99 and the standard original enamel colors have always been available on most LC pieces except the chaise and one table. They did exhibit more with color in Milan which is nice as I always encouraged my clients to order the enamel as the chrome was overused. The last big change to the LC series was around 03 when they were granted the right to upholster the seating in more than just leather or Alcantara. This was fun, did some whacky combos of frame color and felt color.

ditto Kurt. but it is interesting that DWR is now taking orders for Cassina. request anything but black leather and the wait is 14-16 weeks. i.e., not within reach.
