A Contemporary, Monochromatic Home in Melbourne by Sisalla Interior Design

This modern home is located in Toorak, Melbourne, and it was recently completed by Sisalla Interior Design, who were tasked with designing the inside to complement the exterior. The minimal residence needed balance to create a welcoming and cozy feel, while at the same time exuding a feeling of laid-back luxury.

The interior is flooded with natural light via large windows throughout, as well as skylights and sliding glass doors. To add a layer of warmth, they incorporated contrasting textures and colors for a rich, timeless aesthetic that also featured plenty of visual interest.

Dark, warm woods were paired with black steel components and white walls as the backdrop. The results are a sophisticated space that also feels comfortable to live in.

While most of the public spaces feature a monochromatic color palette, the private areas utilize a few bold colors sparingly.
