Airberg: Seating That Breaks With Conventions

Airberg is a collection from designer Jean-Marie Massaud that does away with all conventions when it comes to seating. Made for Offecct, the collection questions the existing expectations of what a sofa and chair should look like by being uniquely-shaped, abstract forms. It’s almost like the pieces have been deconstructed and asymmetrically put back together into comfortable masses for relaxation.

The forms resemble icebergs but have a lightness about them due to the structural outer shell that’s tapered in spots giving it the appearance that it’s floating.

Airberg is available as a sofa and an easy chair in shades of grey felt with chrome legs.
