Best In Show: Knit Your Own Dog

British designers (and dog lovers) Sally Muir and Joanna Osborne have recently released Best in Show: Knit Your Own Dog as a follow-up to their popular book, Pet Projects. As business partners for nearly thirty years, Muir and Osborne’s three decade long experience knitting together is quite evident in their most recent publication.

Best In Show: Knit Your Own Dog contains twenty five patterns to knit your favorite and most beloved breeds. From Basset Hounds to Bulldogs, Best In Show is a wonderful book for crafty dog fans. Aside from patterns and instructions on how to create your own knitted pooch, each page also contains fun and interesting facts pertaining to that breed. It’s great information to keep in mind while your knitting your own delightful doggie.

Keeping in mind the fast-approaching holidays, I can’t think of a sweeter gift or a more perfect stocking stuffer for a dog lover. After I pick up my own copy, I think I’ll pull out my knitting sticks and make my future mother-in-law a bulldog just like her own own English bulldog, Lola. I can just see the smile on her face now!
