CIMENTO Unveils The Blue Passage Installation and Cimento Collection

CIMENTO, a new brand offering innovative cement products for architecture, interiors, and design, made its debut at Milan Design Week with the unveiling of The Blue Passage installation as well as the Cimento Collection of furniture.

The installation was created by CIMENTO and designed by Parisotto+Formenton Architetti, conceived as a double-mouthed tunnel that’s open to the outside and pinched in the center – a sort of modern primordial cavern perfect for rest and restoration. Its light but solid architecture creates a quiet place that welcomes either complete solitude or an easy meeting place.

Inside The Blue Passage installation are furnishings from the new Cimento Collection, created under the art direction of Aldo Parisotto. The three-dimensional sculptural forms with pure lines are suited for both indoors and out, with elements that are powerful yet light and an aesthetic that works well with both contemporary and classic spaces. The soft monolithic color palette, designed by Parisotto+Formenton, is inspired by the natural colors found in the Venetian lagoon, the Adriatic Sea, and the spice route.

The Cimento Collection consists of tables, coffee tables, ottomans, and benches all made of CIMENTO, an exclusive compound that uses over 90% mineral aggregates mixed with a cement binder. It’s available in different colors and finishes and can be customized, while also maintaining low energy consumption processes and use of natural materials as certified by the FCS.
