Have you heard of Dinosaur Designs? If not, now is the time to get acquainted. I’m pretty much obsessed with them. From housewares to jewelry, their beautiful handmade resin objects are on top of my wishlist for 2014.
Established in the 1980s, Australia-based Dinosaur Designs is headed by Louise Olsen & Stephen Ormandy, a made-for-each-other match whose exploration of graphic yet organic shapes and bold color is the very foundation for each collection. They’ve added glass pieces and brass, silver and other metal jewelry in recent years. I have got to get my hands on some of their work. I love how they’re inspired by the ocean, ancient jewelry, ceramics and tools as well as African tribal jewelry, especially with their most recent collection, Modern Tribal.
