Commissioned by Ford, The Principals created a trippy, interactive installation during this year’s Sight Unseen OFFSITE that really played some visual tricks on your mind. Inspiration for Dynamic Sanctuary came from the new 2015 Ford Edge and its sanctuary-like interior. The team decided to construct a new type of architecture that temporarily removes users from their existing environment and houses them in this illuminated “sanctuary”.
A finger pulse monitor inside connects you to the architecture by reading your vitals. As you relax, the installation responds to your heartbeat and animates the interior lighting helping you notice your stress going down.
