Doble Paso Seating by Lucy Salamanca for Purapietra

Lucy Salamanca gives a unique and futuristic look to outdoor seating with Doble Paso for Purapietra. Made from slabs of grey Quartzite, the weightiness of the stone is broken up with empty spaces in between the layers. The seating is held together with steel joints allowing for the alternating pattern of stone and empty space.

Having that airiness between the slabs not only allows for light to filter through, it visually breaks the heaviness of a material like stone. Imagine all of the possibilities just by varying the color, size, and shape of the stone.
