IN THE AIR by FX Balléry for Secondome

Design gallery Secondome continues to expand their brand through collaborations with various artists and designers worldwide and part of the new 2013 collection is a series from FX Balléry called IN THE AIR. The first collaboration between the two exhibits a collection of useful, sculptural objects full of contrasts that are made from a mix of concrete and glass.

From Secondome:

Contrasts between geometrical sharp shapes and rounded generous ones.
Contrasts between a heavy base and the light transparent top.
Contrasts between matt and brilliant.

The earth meets the sky to make one.

Caroline Williamson is the former Editor-in-Chief of Design Milk and a writer with a passion for modern design, architecture, and creative culture. She holds a BFA in photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and can usually be found searching for vintage wares, solving New York Times crossword puzzles in pen, or curating Spotify playlists.
