Instrmnt 01 is a minimalist steel watch collection designed by Glasgow-based company Instrmnt that takes inspiration from industrial design of the mid-20th Century. The studio has a keen interest in functional, utilitarian products produced during that time period, especially taking interest in the simple, readable dials of analog ammeters and voltmeters designed by Dieter Rams.
Instrmnt 01 ships with a Swiss Quartz Ronda 385H movement assembled in Lausen, a German-made leather strap, and recyclable packaging manufactured in the UK. The watch features sapphire crystal glass, and is water resistant up to 5 ATM. Instrmnt 01 is delivered unassembled, and provides tools for the customer to build their own watch.
The Instrmnt 01 series has been re-issued with a number of aesthetic and technical modifications including upgrades to the PVD coating, hands, a new reprinted date dial, and a new strap. Each watch is now shipped with a calf leather strap produced by one of the last remaining strap makers in the Bavarian Forest, manufactured using only traditional techniques and the finest materials.

Do adults really need to see the numbers or can we figure out the number based on the position of the hands? Most watches don’t really come with all of the numbers printed in any case, no?

True, but why include the numbers at all if they’re impossible to see? It could only enhance the minimal aesthetic to do away with them entirely.
