Nearly 70 years after their debut in 1954, Knoll reintroduces two iconic Florence Knoll seating designs: the Model 31 lounge chair and Model 33 small sofa. Florence Knoll, founder of Knoll Textiles, was an architect, interior planner, and furniture designer who is essentially responsible for setting the standard for modern interiors. She’s known for creating spaces customized for each client and designing furniture that’s simple, well-executed, and adaptable. The attention to detail put into every design and proportion continues to make her work popular among designers, collectors, and design enthusiasts. Today, it’s laughable to learn that she often referred to her contributions as the “meat and potatoes” of Knoll’s catalog!
