This lamp was designed by recent grad Kylie Vickers in response to her own investigation into creating a greater interaction between a product and its user. She explored how this could extend the longevity of a design.
Inspired by sustainability and how designers can encourage consumers to keep products beyond a change in trend, the lamp is adaptable to many different environments. The simple design and intuitive features allows it to be adjusted to almost any position, using no mechanical fixings. The lamp uses gravity to stay in position, with the added help of a small device that was designed to add stability and allow for a smoother transition.
